Privacy policy
Last updated October 1, 2026. Applies to all Quiltpost plugins for ChatGPT (Quiltpost Invoices, Quiltpost QR, Quiltpost Polls, Quiltpost Sign-ups, Quiltpost Resume, Quiltpost Life Stories) and the pages on this site. Quiltpost is operated by Mott House LLC, which is responsible for the data described here.
What we collect, and why
We only receive what ChatGPT sends to our tools when you ask it to use one of our plugins. We use it only to do what you asked.
- QR codes: the content you want encoded (e.g. a link or contact details) and the style you chose. Kept 90 days so the download links work, then deleted.
- Invoices and quotes: the business and client details, line items, notes and payment instructions you provide. Kept 365 days so you and your client can reopen the link, then deleted. Never include card numbers or passwords.
- Resumes: the resume content you provide. Kept 7 days so you can download the PDF, then deleted.
- Availability polls and sign-up sheets: the title, details and options you create, plus the names (and optional notes) that participants enter on the share page. Kept 90 days after creation, then deleted.
- Life Stories: the storyteller’s name, the gifter’s first name and personal message, the question schedule and questions, and — once the storyteller signs up — their email address and the answers they write. Answers are shared with the person who set up the collection (who can read and summarize them in ChatGPT) and with anyone they share the private family page with. Kept for two years from the start date and at least one year after the latest activity, or until the storyteller or the gifter deletes the collection (instantly, from the storyteller’s “My stories” page or in ChatGPT). Before the storyteller says yes we send at most one invitation or confirmation email, and nothing else.
- Email: we send email only for the Life Stories plugin (invitations, weekly questions, one reminder per question). Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. To honour opt-outs, bounces and spam complaints permanently, we keep a one-way hash of those addresses (not the address itself).
- Anonymous account link: ChatGPT sends an anonymized identifier for the person using the plugin. We store only a one-way hash of it, so that features like “show my polls” and continuing invoice numbers work across chats. We cannot use it to identify you.
- Usage counts: daily totals such as “QR codes created” or “PDF downloads”, with no identifiers attached, to understand which features are useful.
We do not collect payment card data, government identifiers, health information or passwords; we do not build profiles, track you across sites, sell data or show ads. IP addresses are used transiently in memory for rate limiting and are not stored.
Who can see your data
Anyone with a share or download link can open it — that is how you share a poll, sign-up sheet or invoice. Links are long random strings and are hidden from search engines. Our infrastructure providers process data on our behalf: Fly.io (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (sending email) and Cloudflare (DNS and forwarding mail sent to our support address). OpenAI’s handling of your ChatGPT conversations is governed by OpenAI’s own privacy policy.
Your choices
Data is deleted automatically at the end of the periods above. To delete something sooner, email support@quiltpost.com with the link and we will remove it within 7 days. You can disconnect a plugin at any time in ChatGPT settings.
